Time & Location
About the Event
Ancestors First is a five part series encompassing the basic knowledge of African Traditional Religions to assist you in tapping into your spiritual history. Dive into the world of the Yoruba tradition.
In this third workshop, you will learn about Yemaya, the mother of the world! All children are born of the fishes and the fishes belong to Yemaya. During this workshop we will honor Yemaya as the mother to the motherless. We will discuss the many paths of Yemaya, learn different offerings to bring to her, and prepare a Yemaya bath.

Hello, I am Lala Gonzalez, Ogun Wale, Siete Rayo Engo Batalla and Cordelia Anatu. I have many names because I have been initiated into several different traditions. I am a Yoruba priestess practicing for the last 13 years. In Yoruba my name is Ogun Wale it means Ogun comes home. I am also an espiritista/spiritualist and have been my entire life. I have participated in many different religions since my search began in Junior High School, ultimately my ancestors led me to the Yoruba tradition.
