About the Event
About Kunana our Elder:
Artist,writer and now an elder Moondancer, Kunana started her 35 years of experience in the NYC wellness industry as a Yoga teacher. She began her personal transformation with a complete diet and meditation practice in 1983.
Kunana is now focused on her intuitive body work, as a certified Havening practitioner, she is a mentor for mostly women who are on the journeys of self healing and empowerment.
Kunana has led hundreds of workshops, retreats, red tents, ceremonies (Co-founder of Moonwomb) and has guided many to deep insights of self.
Her unwavering to her indigenous Taíno roots and culture is a strong part of her foundation. The healing work and her life of service to women of all backgrounds is a dedication as a testimony of her own healing transformation. Pouring for sweat lodges is another ritual from her ancestral teachings used for potent prayers for many as life celebration, healings, purification and even preparation.
Kunana has ushered many through tragic loss of family members and is an experienced Death Doula as well.
