About the Event
In this workshop, participants will learn meditation techniques to help clear toxic, self-harmful energies, self-sabotaging thought processes and patterns through yoga, mindfulness and meditations. They will learn powerful breathing techniques to help them in various scenarios ranging from when they need to re-energize their physical body to how to calm and quiet their inner dialogue when thoughts are running rampantly and there’s no internal peace. Through guided meditations, participants will learn how to pour themselves with self-love and compassion first, so they may be able to offer the same energy to others. Participants will experience both a mental and physical experience through the physical art of yoga, connecting mind, body and spirit. It is important to show yoga can be practiced anywhere and make it accessible to all kinds of bodies.
Participants will practice a sequence of yoga poses on the floor and in chairs to help strengthen and relax their temple. Resources will be offered to participants on places where they can continue their healing journeys with healers similar to them. When a person heals their self, they heal seven generations before and after them. The goal is for participants to leave the workshop motivated and with an action plan to help their healing process so they may transform generational trauma and curses, find peace within themselves, and empower their community. Another goal of this workshop is to break the stigma that “Yoga is for affluent people” and to reclaim an ancient healing practice that was created by us for us. The workshop will end with Q&A.
